Two years ago, in February 2021, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, together with RUE Beltelecom , launched the “My City” mobile application. Since then, the initiative, implemented as part of the program “Digital Development of Belarus”, has become increasingly popular. Today, residents of 13 Belarusian cities use the resource, 24 are preparing to launch.
The mobile application has a simple and intuitive interface. With its help, the population gets convenient access to the entire city infrastructure - administration, government organizations, healthcare and education institutions, sports, cultural and leisure facilities. For each specific locality, its own version of the resource is created, and a typical set of modules is flexibly adapted to the needs of local residents.
The main feature of the application is the possibility of feedback from all project participants. The idea of digital communication with the urban environment received a great positive response: almost 50,000 downloads, 3,000 participating organizations, 450,000 service views. The most active users were residents of Polotsk, Bobruisk, Pinsk, Baranovichi and Zhodino. At the same time, Polotsk, where a pilot project was launched in 2021, is confidently leading: more than 14,000 Polotsk residents installed the application, viewed services 170,000 times, and placed orders 13,000 times.
The TOP requests on the mobile platform included the services of Beltelecom, kindergartens, medical centers, cafes and restaurants. The application allows you to sign up for a service at a service center, an appointment with the head of an institution, order a ticket to a doctor or book a table in a cafe. “My City” has become a really convenient mobile assistant, providing all city services in one click.
In 2022, the platform received its further development. The application “My University” has digitized the main services for universities. The pilot project was implemented on the basis of the Minsk State Linguistic University. 7.5 thousand MSLU students and staff are already using the application. At the preparation stage - Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State Academy of Communications and Vitebsk State Medical University.
