On June 22, Belarus celebrates the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people.
On this mournful date, requiem rallies and patriotic actions are held in our country. Collectives of all branches of Beltelecom joined the events, paying tribute to the memory and respect to those who defended their Motherland at the cost of their lives, who died in fascist captivity, who did not endure terrible trials in the rear.
In the capital, telecom workers laid flowers at the Memorial sign to signalmen who died during the Great Patriotic War. The participants of the ceremony honored the memory of the heroes with a minute of silence.
On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany began a bloody war against the Soviet Union that claimed the lives of millions of people. From the first days, the German troops met with powerful resistance from the Soviet people. The soldiers of the Red Army demonstrated unparalleled courage, steadfastness and selflessness, which led to the complete collapse of the blitzkrieg plan.
In this war, Belarus lost every third inhabitant. The memory of them will live forever!
