Thirteen Belarusian cities have already digitized their infrastructure using the “My City” application. In February, the mobile platform became available to residents of Nesvizh.
Alexander Lomsky, Chairman of the Nesvizh District Executive Committee:
- Nesvizh is a city with a long history, in which conditions have been created for the development of all areas of activity. The digitalization of the city is a common task in which all regional structures should be involved. Today we are actively implementing the concept of “smart city”. The launch of the mobile application “My City” is one of the main levers for the digitalization of the Nesvizh region. We will be able to widely present our tourism and industrial potential, as well as use the My City platform as an excellent tool for interaction between authorities, business representatives, residents and guests of the Nesvizh region.
The application contains the most necessary information: city events, important news, promotions, discounts, polls. Almost all organizations of the region have their accounts on the resource. They are structured by type of activity: city administration, active recreation and tourism, health and sports, education. The main feature of the platform is the possibility of feedback from all project participants. Citizens will be able to make an appointment with the city executive committee, government agency or school, find out the opening hours of shops and cafes, call an emergency team, book a table in a cafe, schedule a visit to a beauty salon or service station.
The initiative was developed within the framework of the State Program “Digital Development of Belarus” and is aimed at improving the comfort and quality of life of citizens. The pilot project was launched in February 2021 in Polotsk.
The application is available for download on Android and iOS.
