On May 20, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the 48th meeting of the Telecommunications and Infocommunications Operators Board of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications was held under the chairmanship of the General Director of RUE Beltelecom Aleksei Ivashkin.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Aleksei Ivashkin expressed confidence that the work of the Operators Board will contribute to the further development and prosperity of the industry in the region.
At the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, leading experts discussed the most pressing issues of development of the digital market and telecommunications sector.
The rich agenda reflected such important topics as:
- formation of fair prices for telecommunications services in roaming in the CIS member states;
- counteraction to fraud on communication networks;
- development trends of non-geostationary satellite orbit systems and elaboration of joint solutions for their harmonious use;
- the impact of new services on increasing traffic volumes;
- effective business models and innovations in the activities of operators and other issues.
The participants also reviewed the largest operator forums to be held in 2025–2026, and events to prepare for the 35th anniversary of the RCC in 2026.
Representatives of Beltelecom also took part in the 48th meeting of the Telecommunications and Infocommunications Operators Board in a video conference mode.
