Beltelecom actively participated in the anniversary forum of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) “35 Years Together: The Digital Future of a Common Space.” A large‑scale event that brought together industry experts took place on September 8–9 in the Moscow Region of the Russian Federation.
The RCC Forum program comprehensively covered the key areas of the RCC’s activities and focused on developing specific solutions for the development of the communications industry in the region.
The work took place in four thematic sections:
“Digital Transformation of the Postal Industry and Logistics in the Region: New Challenges and Opportunities”;
“International Information Security: Resilience in an Era of Change as the Foundation for Digital Development”;
“Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Growth Opportunities in Central Eurasia”;
“Telecommunications and ICT: The Foundation of Digital Sovereignty”.
Andrey Zharkevich, Deputy Director General for Technical Issues at RUE Beltelecom, presented a report in Section 4 “Telecommunications and ICT: The Foundation of Digital Sovereignty.” Alexey Borodin, Director General of the RCC, moderated the session. Experts’ discussions were dedicated to building resilient, secure, and forward‑looking telecommunications and ICT infrastructure.
The participation of Beltelcom representatives in such a significant event underscores the company's commitment to strengthening regional cooperation.
The Regional Commonwealth in the fields of Communications was established on December 17, 1991, in Moscow by the Communications Administrations of 11 countries with the aim of cooperating and implementing coordinated actions among these states in the field of electric and postal communications. The RCC is an international organization with the functions of the CIS interstate coordinating body in the field of electric and postal communications. It has the observer status in the International Telecommunication Union and the Universal Postal Union, and also interacts with other international and regional organizations.
